The Italian Motorcycle Owners Club (IMOC) is America’s only national organization dedicated to the preservation and enjoyment of any and all Italian-made motorcycles and scooters. Old and new alike are recognized and welcomed, and our members hail from all across the United States.
Founded in 1984 by Lynnea Irwin and Roland Stadelmann, John Harris assumed the IMOC Presidency shortly thereafter…and ultimately, took on Membership responsibility as well. He was supported by John Borella, who served as Secretary.
Steven Rossi began editing the club’s MOTOCICLISTA newsletter in 1987 and continued through the end of 2024, when IMOC reverted to an online-exclusive Club. News, calendar listings, event activity and classifieds now appear under separate update tabs on www.imoc.website. In the interest of cost efficiency, Membership Dues were since waived with the elimination of printing and mailing expense.
Pam Frost established the club’s first website, which has since been redeveloped and is now under the capable direction of Joe Tamarkin. John Harris is now President Emeritus.
IMOC has hosted…and continues to host…America’s largest and longest running All-Italian Motorcycle Rally in Sturbridge, MA. Held annually in September at the Hamilton Rod & Gun Club, some 300+ Italian machines participate. It’s said that “you’ll see anything and everything at the IMOC Rally.”
A unique marque is highlighted every year, and all proceeds in excess of expense are donated to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (J.D.R.F.). Admission is $10 per person and a small assortment of trophies are awarded in individual Classes. The IMOC Rally is hosted by Co-Chairmen Steven Rossi and Bob Andren, along with a dedicated Team of volunteers.
IMOC members are also welcome to participate in various other events such as locally run Connecticut-Rhode Island Moto Guzzi National Owners activities which include breakfasts and rendezvouses, small-bore Tiddler Tours (TTs) for early bikes and a festive end of year Holiday Dinner. See the IMOC Calendar for details and follow the Updates tab for recent developments.
